Indeed it is still the Bruce Lee classics that hold their popularity while the Genre has gone from big theatre releases to an underground following. In this documentary we find out what made Bruce Lee so special hearing from those who knew and worked with the legend and some of his biggest famous fans. When Snooker Ruled The World

In the late seventies and early Eighty's the game of Snooker was possibly the most popular televised sport in the UK. The players became celebrity's and made quiet a bit of cash along the way. In the documentary we see how the sport went from the working mans clubs to hugs arenas with the pinnacle being the 1985 world snooker final between Steve Davis and Denis Taylor watched by an astounding 18.5 million people in the UK. There was endless sponsorship, snooker paraphernalia including snooker aftershave and even a top ten song in Snooker Loopy. The polar characters like Alex Hurricane Higgins and The Nugget Steve Davis lived and played in the golden era and while the game remains popular it may never reach those heights again.

When Snooker Ruled The World Documentary

Muhammad Ali: When We Were Kings

When We Were Kings documents the build up, promotion, political and racial issues surrounding the 1974 fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, the film won the Academy Award For Best Documentary in 1996. In this boxing documentary we see how Ali used the fight and it's location in Zaire (which is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) to connect with his African roots and highlight racism against African-Americans.

The fight that would be known as "The Rumble in the Jungle" was Ali's chance to win back the world title he was stripped of when he refused draft into the US Army it was also the first major fight promoted by Don King. Controversy came with the option to stage the fight in a country ruled by Mobutu Sese Seko who had looked to use the fight to further his political standing despite his records of corruption, nepotism, and embezzlement.

Tyson: The Baddest Man on the Planet

Mike Tyson brought the power and excitement back to boxing and his antics out of the ring were a dream for the press. His first 19 opponents were beaten by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. He set record after record in the sport during his career but perhaps it was the sheer craziness of Tyson that attracted the public to see what he would do next and he rarely let them down. In this 2008 documentary we follow the rise of Mike Tyson and the people around him. Through his youth in Brooklyn, New York were he was often finding himself in trouble to Boxing in the Junior Olympic Games. He started his professional boxing career aged just 18 and would become the youngest fighter to hold all the major belts just two years later. Outside of the ring Tyson struggled, struggling to control his anger he often surrounding himself with the wrong people. His Jail time for rape and biting of Evander Holyfield in a fight two years after his release are what many remember him for.

Murderball: The Full Contact Paralympic Sport

Murderball is a 2005 documentary covering the Paralympic Sport of Wheelchair Rugby also known as Murderball or Quad Rugby. The film shows a sport that in many ways has no connection to Rugby apart from full contact to stop the opposing player. Pair this with basketball as it involves dribbling the ball and is played on a basketball court and ice hockey for the physical slamming nature of tackles and you get the idea.

The film focuses on the rivalry between Canada and the USA, Canada invented the game but the USA have been dominating it. We meet the current players and coaches including Joe Soares a former star of the USA team who when dropped from them team first tried to sue then moved to Canada to take over their team. His dream is coming back and beating his former teammates and home country, not bitter at all so ! But with all the craziness and passion of the sport the documentary does delve deeper into the lives of the players most with spinal injuries. They talk about the effects the injury's have had on their lives and the effect Murderball has had in providing a competitive out for them.

Lance Armstrong: Stop At Nothing

Stop at nothing is a 2014 documentary telling the almost unbelievable story of perhaps the biggest scam in the history of sport. The story earns the superlative "Unbelievable" not because a sportsman took drugs to enhance his performance but because one of the top sportsmen and icons of all time took it, won everything with it, destroyed lives to deny it and eventually lost it all.

Lance Armstrong was an American hero dominating a sport were through history Europeans had always led. No competition proved European dominance more that the biggest of them all The Tour de France. Greg LeMond's two wins were the only by an American since 1903, Armstrong would go on to win seven in a row. Perhaps most notably he had fought back from cancer three years before wining his first Tour de France, thus becoming a beacon for fellow cancer survivors.

The documentary looks at the entire career of Armstrong and the events that lead to him and his team setting up one of the most complex doping regimes imaginable. We hear from those who brought the case to light, Paul Kimmage who's claims against Armstrong went unnoticed for years, Frankie and Betsy Andreu once close friends then demonized by Lance and Emma O'Reilly a former masseuse slandered and discredited by him.

Bare Knuckle Boxing has been around for hundreds of years, in it's current form as an underground sport. It's a tough guy sport usually associated with Tattoo laden Irish travelers and skin head British hard men, but some want bare knuckle boxing to go main stream. Andy Topliffe is one such person and he strongly believes there is a place for Bare Knuckle Boxing in the mainstream. Andy has founded a fledgling promotion company with ambitions to take contact sport out of the underground, kicking off with a highly anticipated Britain Versus America Bare Knuckle contest. In the film Clive Martin of vice meets with Andy Topliffe and some of the most revered Bare Knuckle fighters in scenes that resemble something from Fight Club meets Snatch.

Team of firsts is a documentary made by the students and coaches to cover the 2012 Southern Oregon football season.Looking at Small Collage football the documentary shows the same time, dedication and passion is required as in Big Collage football.Constantly struggling for funds and with many players carrying the broken dreams of not making the big time the viewer takes a sometimes somber sometimes ecstatic journey through the Southern Oregon football season.

Story Of The Split In Darts: Blood On The Carpet

Darts, so long a pub game by the late seventies had become a hugely popular televised sport. The characters that played with such precision, the split screen to not only show were the dart hit but the emotions of the player at the same time had brought the game from pub floors to arena stages. By the mid eighty's all the top competitions were being televised, the sport was growing and the players were happy as they became household names. But in just a few years television coverage was dwindling and sponsors were pulling out; something needed to be done. So the top players went to Olly Croft, the man that had formed the British Darts Organization (BDO) either he took some action or the players would act alone.

In this documentary we meet Olly Croft and the top players of the time such as Eric Bristow to see how the game got split in two and dragged through the courts in a legal battle. It eventually resulted in every BDO world champion there had been quitting the BDO and creating what would eventually become the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).  How did darts get split and who or what was behind the split that resulted in to this day two separate organizations and two separate World Championships Of Darts ?
