One review gave Kelly the highest praise saying "In this definitive films, the music is what eventually remains. And I am now almost completley convinced, in the absence of any new evidence to the contrary, that Luke Kelly was actually the greatest singer of all time. Not the greatest folk singer, bit the greatest singer, ever, of anything, in the history of the world"

It's a story you couldn't make up 25 year old Troy Duffy had wrote a film script on a cheap computer in the back of a bar  and somehow managed to pitch it to Harvey Weinstein the head of Miramax. Duffy's band which included his brother would also provide the score for the film, there was even an agreement for the bar Duffy worked in to be bought for him. Elvis Presley The Last 24 Hours

This is a fascinating Elvis documentary, August 15th 1977 through to August 16th 1977 contained the last 24 hours of Elvis who was just 42 years old. Although it's called the last 24 hours it is much broader. Interviewed for the documentary are former friends/employees of Presley many that made up a group that were known as the Memphis Mob. The Memphis Mob have at times been accused of having a negative influence on The King of rock and roll. But in this documentary they seem genuinely emotional as they recall the story of the sharp decline in the health and lifestyle of Elvis.

With a return to a heavy unhealthy diet and Gross abuse of prescription drugs as he entered his forty's it was in some ways inevitable to come to a head in one way or another. A sad story even for one that appreciates the music and effect on popular culture Elvis had but would not call himself an actual fan.

A Little Bit Of Elvis With Frank Skinner

A little bit of Elvis picks up the story of presenter and comedian Frank Skinner not long after he purchased a piece of Elvis Presley memorabilia. At an auction in the reputable Christie's in England Skinner forked out £11,200 ($16,790) for a Blue Velvet shirt said to be worn by Elvis at a concert in his birthplace Tupelo, Mississippi on the 26th September 1956.The shirt was put up for sale by a former bodyguard of Elvis and was accompanied by various pictures from the concert and a letter from the bodyguard one Dave Hebler verifying it's authenticity.

So even though Skinner had paid much more than he had planned at least he had a little bit of Elvis from when King of Rock and Roll was at his very prime, or did he ?

Subsequently Frank discovered other images from the concert and he noticed some subtle differences between the shirt worn by Elvis in Tupelo in 56 and the shirt now hanging proudly in his wardrobe. Enough differences for him to seriously question the Provenance of the shirt. Had he been duped by the bodyguard Mr.Hebler and sold a fake piece of memorabilia for over £11k ?

A man of action Frank decides to fly to America and track the history of the shirt Elvis wore in Tupelo, reportedly made by his mother. Looking to talk to friends of Elvis or anyone that could shed some light on his predicament as well as hopefully meet the Elvis bodyguard Dave Hebler.

Luckily for us Documentary Fans he brought a camera crew with him to make this very interesting documentary !
