This is a fascinating Elvis documentary, August 15th 1977 through to August 16th 1977 contained the last 24 hours of Elvis who was just 42 years old. Although it's called the last 24 hours it is much broader. Interviewed for the documentary are former friends/employees of Presley many that made up a group that were known as the Memphis Mob. The Memphis Mob have at times been accused of having a negative influence on The King of rock and roll. But in this documentary they seem genuinely emotional as they recall the story of the sharp decline in the health and lifestyle of Elvis.
With a return to a heavy unhealthy diet and Gross abuse of prescription drugs as he entered his forty's it was in some ways inevitable to come to a head in one way or another. A sad story even for one that appreciates the music and effect on popular culture Elvis had but would not call himself an actual fan.
