The 16 Year Old Killer Cyntoia Brown

This is the shocking story of Cyntoia Brown a young girl who at only 16 Years Old had already experienced more than many and was now working as a prostitute. On one fatal night when she was working a man called Mark Allen picked her up and brought her back to his house. While there Allen had bragged about his time in the army as a sharp shooter and showed her guns he had in his house. Brown claims while she was in bed with Allen he got aggressive and when he turned away from her she believed he was reaching for a gun. This lead Miss Brown to pull out a gun she herself was carrying and shoot.

The documentary maker Daniel Birman gets permission to follow the case and those involved including special access to Cyntoia Brown. From the initial hearing; to judge how the case will be tried to the final verdicts it's a harrowing story that asks serious questions of everyone and everything involved.
