Luke Kelly was a founding member of iconic Irish folk band The Dubliners. His unique powerful voice and banjo playing style singled Kelly out as one of the greats of Irish folk music. In this documentary we follow the life and music of Luke Kelly from the forming of The Dubliners to his untimely death in 1984 aged just 43. With input from among others U2 front man Bono we see what made Luke Kelly a lasting Folk Icon despite a short and often chaotic life.
One review gave Kelly the highest praise saying "In this definitive films, the music is what eventually remains. Not the greatest folk singer, bit the greatest singer, ever, of anything, in the history of the world"
