An Inconvenient Truth
An Inconvenient Truth is a 2006 environmental documentary based on former American Vice President Al Gore's campaign to heighten awareness of climate change. Gore had been traveling the country giving slide show presentations and these presentations and slides are used frequently in the film. The documentary was made by Davis Guggenheim after the idea from Laurie David who had seen one the Gore's presentations, she has a producer credit on An Inconvenient Truth. The film won the Academy Award For Best Documentary in 2006 (it also picked up the Oscar for Best Original Song) and is seen with it's box office success as a major factor in climate change awareness.
