Narrated by Patrick Stewart Inside Planet Earth brings the viewer from the top of volcanic mountains to the very core of the planet we call home. The viewer sees the history behind the formation of mountains, countries and continents from billions of years ago to more recent geological events. Using fantastic graphics and in-dept scientific studies a very different side to our planet is shown with some almost Sci-fi scenes going on right below our feet.

Mount Everest: How It Was Made

Mount Everest stretches 5.5 miles into the sky but were it's peaks once flat or even under water. In this documentary scientists set out to retrieve samples of rock from the top of the mountain and study them to discover the past of the worlds largest mountain. Millions of years have shaped the largest peaks and deepest hollows on earth but they have left a trail of evidence pertaining to their history. After the break up of the super continent known as Gondwanaland 800 million years ago the earth as we know it today began to take shape.
