Mount Everest: How It Was Made
Mount Everest stretches 5.5 miles into the sky but were it's peaks once flat or even under water. In this documentary scientists set out to retrieve samples of rock from the top of the mountain and study them to discover the past of the worlds largest mountain. Millions of years have shaped the largest peaks and deepest hollows on earth but they have left a trail of evidence pertaining to their history. After the break up of the super continent known as Gondwanaland 800 million years ago the earth as we know it today began to take shape.
