This over two hour documentary takes a brand new and unique look at the second world war, From Space. The 2012 History Channel feature uses an "all-seeing CGI eye" to tell the story of WWII along with input from survivors, experts, authors and current military personnel. We get a birds eye view of the trip taken by Japanese aircraft in 1941 to Pearl Harbour in the attack that forced the USA into a war their people wanted to avoid. The film manages to show best the extraordinary movement of troops, arms and machinery from America and across Europe during the war. Using a timeline from 1939 to 1945 the key moments are picked to display and the space view gives us a greater understanding than ever of the deadliest conflict in history.
