The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most recognisable
landmarks in the world.With not enough attention given to the foundation the tower was actually starting to lean before it was finished.Indeed it was almost 200 years after construction started that it was finally finished.Over the years the tower started to lean more and more to a dangerous level and efforts have been made to stabilise the structure throughout it's history.
It would be easier and cheaper to simply straighten the tower but this has never been considered with the tower attracting millions of tourists to Pisa.For a decade the tower had to be closed to the public but this documentary brings viewers on a tour of the tower and tells the history from construction to how it may be secured for the future.
