Man On Wire : Walking Between The Twin Towers

Man On Wire won the Academy Award for best documentary feature in 2008 and tells the story of Philippe Petit who in 1974 walked between the twin towers of the world trade center on a tight rope or high wire. The film features Petit and his friends recall how they formed the idea then meticulously planned how they could actually pull it off. Home Video footage from the time shows Petit trying to reconstruct the conditions he would face at such height.Just as hard would be gaining access to the top of each of the twin towers without detection and running a tight rope between them.
