Food Inc: You'll Never Look At Dinner The Same Way

Food Inc was nominated for the Academy Award for best documentary feature in 2009. It's a documentary that goes deep into the sourcing, production, distribution and politics of the food we eat. The film carries a number of messages about the inhumane treatment of livestock, and industrial methods of growing produce which are becoming more and more unnatural. But the main feature is that the current practices used from farm to shop shelve are simply "economically and environmentally unsustainable". Supermarkets such as Walmart also come in for criticism in the film, be sure to check out Walmart : The High Cost of Low Price.
