Witch Hunt: Story Of The Salem Witch Trials

Witch Hunt is a History Channel documentary focusing on the witch hunts and trials in Salem, Massachusetts in the 17th century. At the time New England was a place of fear and religious extremism, the Puritan settlers allowed the hysteria of the time come to a crescendo in 1692 when the witch trials were held and nineteen men and women were executed. It's a dark story in American History but also a story of religious extremism which continues till this day. In the film we find out what led to the frenzy of the late 17th century, how so called witches were identified and the ultimate trial process that determined the fate of the nineteen.
