Walmart : The High Cost of Low Price

A documentary charting the build of Walmart and the effect this has had on the company, employees and the towns and cities the stores have located. Owned by the Walton family Walmart is the largest company based by revenue in the world, the largest (private company) employer in the world and the largest retailer in the world. But this documentary takes a negative view on how these feats have been achieved. Reporting bad working standards for employees, detrimental effects on the towns Walmart stores open in, environmental issues and the high level of imported goods sold. Former employees, environmental experts, economists and local business owners effected by Walmart give their views as more and more towns look to block stores opening in there area.
