The Fog of War : Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara

The Fog Of War won the Academy Award for best documentary feature in 2003.The film tells the story of Robert S. McNamara born in 1916 during the first world war he went on to serve in the second world war which then seen him as one of Whiz Kids work for and become president of Ford Motors in 1960. He then served as Secretary of Defense under two different US Presidents Kennedy and Johnson; serving during the Cuban Missile crisis and the Vietnam war. In 1968 he became president of The World Bank a position he maintained for 13 years.The documentary uses an in-dept interview with McNamara and archive footage to tell the story of then then 85 year old who since passed away on July 6, 2009 aged 93. It's fantastic to get a first hand account from someone that was directly involved in some of the pivotal moments of 20th century American History.
